摘要: Streets, as an important interface where residents interact with the urban built environment, play a significant role in influencing residents' living experiences, thus becoming essential subjects in human-centered urban planning and research. The calculation of street similarity is a valuable tool for understanding, preserving, and enhancing the urban landscape. However, existing calculations of street similarity frequently treated one street as a single object and overlooked the fact that streets are primarily used for passage. As a result, in the calculation of street similarity, the sequential occurrence of experiences felt by pedestrians during the process of walking through the whole street was mostly ignored by traditional algorithms. To address this issue, this study establishes a framework for evaluating street similarity from a pedestrian's perspective (walk-through perspective) by constructing street feature sequences from three dimensions—landscape, safety perception, and function and applying Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) algorithm for sequences comparison. Exemplified by the city of Chengdu, China, an overall high degree of similarity among the streets was discovered, while significant uniqueness is also observed in certain places across different dimensions. The proposed method for street similarity calculation provides a more human-centered paradigm for urban street studies and offers valuable scientific references for urban planning efforts.
